This isn’t so much a recommendation as an FYI for the uninitiated: The city’s Irish pubs will be jammed with St. Patrick’s Day revellers, particularly along the parade route downtown — the ones that are serving pre-parade breakfast already are. The parade itself, North America’s oldest and largest,  begins at noon, moves east along Ste-Catherine from the corner of Fort and ends at Phillips Square. Drunken stupors will ensue.

Les Beats 002 is an afternoon/evening event starring DJs Emilia Mamamoko, Compton Chic and Fonkynson. If you’re not into getting there physically, look here after noon today and you should find a link to a live stream. Studio 301 (2025 Parthenais #301), 3–10 p.m., $10

Imaging Apartheid is a poster exhibit and artist talk about their Palestine-inspired work, part of Israel Apartheid Week. Casa del Popolo (4873 St-Laurent), 5–7 p.m.

Head to Sala Rossa for a screening of Intuitive Pictures’ 100% T-Shirt, ahead of its six-day run at Cinéma du Parc (March 21–27). 4848 St-Laurent, 7 p.m.

Underground film series the Noah screen 1969 Czech film Fruit of Paradise, a surreal, psychedelic retelling of the Adam and Eve story. Peut-être Vintage (6029a Parc), 7:30 p.m., $5
