How’s this for a hip hop double-header: Wu-Tang Clan’s GZA lectures on consciousness, creativity & music at McGill this afternoon, presented by the Narcycist with music by DJ Pro-V, then plays Cabaret Underworld tonight, with openers Gabe ‘Nandez and Markings. Lecture at the Leacock auditorium (855 Sherbrooke W., #132), 4 p.m. Show at 1403 Ste-Elisabeth, 10 p.m., $30 for both with student ID/$40 without, lecture only $10/$15, concert only $25/$30

It’s a great night for burlesque, as Mlle Oui Oui Encore and her Blue Light Burlesque troupe play Café Campus (57 Prince-Arthur E., 8 p.m., $20), and Thea D’Ora (aka Lady Josephine) and Electro Swing DJs bring a prohibition-era party called Bathtub Gin to the Wiggle Room (3874 St-Laurent, 11 p.m., free).

Montreal thrash jazz band Skurge launch their EP More Tales of the Toxic Transscape, with the circus sideshow of Atom Balm and genre-busting sounds of Cervidea. O Patro Vys (356 Mont-Royal E.), 9 p.m.
