Among the events listed in our round-up of cabane à sucre events in the city is the maple brunch series at Griffintown restaurant le Richmond. 377 Richmond, 11 a.m.

The 193rd annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade follows its usual route on Ste-Catherine, and once it’s done, revellers will spill into every open downtown bar in the vicinity, with traditional and contemporary Irish music ringing out. So either grab your friends and get to it, or avoid the area entirely.

DJ Scott C (of The Goods) plays an evening set at the North Star pinball bar, who’ll be giving away a game token with each drink. Sounds like a great opportunity to brush up on your analogue gaming skills and take in some quality soul, funk, jazz, hip hop and house. 3908 St-Laurent, 49 p.m., free

The ninth edition of alt burlesque variety show Burlesgeek goes down at la Sala Rossa, with performers including  Punani DiFranco, Frenchy Jones, Golden Thunderpants and Baron VonStyck working it with the theme Creatures & Monsters. 4848 St-Laurent, 7 p.m., $20 ($15 in advance)

American tri-city indie electro-pop act Dark Colour assemble from their three corners of the U.S. to play le Ritz, with intriguing local openers Landisles. 179 Jean-Talon W., 9 p.m., free

The Mothlight concert series continues with the haunting lo-fo folk of Host and the mellow folk-rock of Little Fire. Bonus: reading by Metatron poets and projections by Chelsea Sweetin and Johnny Ripper. Secret location, 9 p.m., $5
