An exhibition for a collaborative art project between Montreal curatorial collective la Fabrique and Geneva-based HEAD university of art and design launches today with a vernissage at Galerie de l’UQAM, featuring video works from over 20 local and international artists that reflect on the theme of motion. 1400 Berri, #JR-120, 5:30 p.m., free

It’s a big week for Montreal’s funniest comics, who have been putting their best material together to audition for this summer’s Just for Laughs festival. Tonight’s audition showcase is open to the public and will include stand-up sets from Tranna Wintour, Kris Dulgar, Ellie MacDonald and Daniel Carin, among others.
